Today I’m posting on my third New Year’s affirmation. My hope is that each will remind you that joy is always just around the horizon, even on the most challenging days.
Here are my affirmations for this New Years 2018.
- Who I am, right now, is enough.
- I make great choices.
- I have all I need, in abundance.
- I am creative.
- I am loving.
- I am strong.
- I am kind.
- I am grateful for this life I have.
- My heart is open.
Today’s affirmation:
I have all I need, in abundance
In a recent post, I mentioned how I struggled to get into the Christmas spirit this year, after a long list of frustrating and expensive things hit our family, all at once.
At that time, I was clueless to the fact that I was living an abundant life. All I could see was one bill hitting us after another, and the budget wasn’t going to stretch. I saw lack. I saw frailness. I saw hopelessness. I felt helpless, as one thing came on top of another.
Greg reminded me that there were options, so because we are a team and lean on each other as the need hits, he took the reigns. A huge relief washed over me and I felt confident again.
Most of the time, we think ‘wealthy’ when we speak about abundance. But abundance is really a mind set which can take many different forms.
If our relationships are joyful, they are abundant.
If are gardens have a good supply of food, they are abundant.
If we have love in our lives, then it’s endlessly abundant.
True, we may want different than we have. We may feel the we need more, or different. And that may be also be true. But that’s where creativity comes in (more about that tomorrow), and growth.
So today’s message is to just think a little bit about all that we do have in our lives and to take the time to appreciate it. Inventory your abundance. Go ahead and look at both sides of the coin, the good and the not so good. Maybe there are things you have too much of, negative feelings, for example, that you could learn to release. Once you acknowledge and examine them, you may choose to handle them differently.
At least you will know what you have.
And that you have all that you need.
